Giants’ head coach, Brian Daboll, compares young quarterback Tommy DeVito to legendary Tom Brady. Daboll asserts that it’s too soon to make this comparison since DeVito has only been in the league for four games. Although their paths are different, Daboll acknowledges that every situation is unique. While Brady led the Patriots to the Super Bowl as a first-year starter, DeVito has helped take the Giants to a 5-8 record.
Daboll and DeVito, connected by the experience of performing in front of their hometown, both share that it is a different experience to have family present. This is something Daboll has experienced as well, having been the Buffalo Bills’ offensive coordinator from 2018-2022 before joining the Giants.
Daboll insists that both experiences are different and a lot of it has to do with one’s family being present. He understands how challenging it can be when your family is involved in something pivotal in your life, but he also emphasizes the importance of keeping the main thing the main thing.
