Southern Oregon Appoints Joye Levendusky as Interim Head Coach


Joye Levendusky, a five-time All-American and US Open champion, has been named interim head women’s coach at Southern Oregon. A standout in college wrestling, Levendusky began her career at McKendree, helping the team win NCAA titles from 2020-22 before transferring to Southern Oregon and playing a key role in their 2023 championship. At just 24 years old, Levendusky brings a wealth of experience and success to her new role.

Levendusky takes over for Gabby Weyhrich, who led the Raiders to first- and third-place finishes at the NAIA Championships in 2023 and 2024. As an assistant coach, Levendusky has already made an impact on the team and will now lead them in an interim capacity until a permanent head coach is found at the end of the season.

A native of Avon, New York, Levendusky has shown exceptional talent and determination throughout her wrestling career, earning accolades and championships at both McKendree and Southern Oregon.
