Anton Yakushev Designs will be showcasing hand-forged works of art in sculptural, functional, and decorative forms at a welcoming reception with drinks and snacks, music at Dry Canyon Forge on Friday, July 5th from 4-9 p.m. For theater and dance enthusiasts, “The Lost Virginity Tour” will be playing at Cascades Theatre at 7:30 p.m., along with a country flair burlesque show at Bunk+Brew at 8 p.m.
On Saturday, July 6th, a free community square dance party will take place at Pine Forest Grange Hall, and “The Lost Virginity Tour” will have another showing at Cascades Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Shrek costumes are encouraged at the Shrek Rave event at Domino Room at 9 p.m.
Sunday offers a matinee showing of “The Lost Virginity Tour” at Cascades Theatre at 2 p.m., along with a Soulful Sundays Community Dance at Continuum Yoga Studio at 10 a.m.
For those interested in comedy, So You Think You Got Jokes, a comedy stand-up and improv event, will be at The Capitol on Friday at 7 p.m. Clayton Smith will perform his stand-up comedy show “Guns For Jesus” at Open Space Event Studios on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Book lovers can attend a talk about “Lady Tan’s Circle of Women” by Lisa See at Westside Community Center on Monday at 6:30 p.m. Various book clubs will be meeting throughout the week to discuss different books, and outdoor activities include group bike rides, outdoor yoga classes, historical fencing practices, and trail tours. For families, there will be a family concert, storytime with Sloth, and kids yoga and ninja warrior camps available.
