Despite consistently selling out games for one of the best programs in the nation, Oregon Ducks Football’s home stadium, Autzen Stadium, has been ranked outside the top 10 in a recent ranking of college football stadiums. ESPN’s list of the top 25 stadiums placed Autzen Stadium at No. 14, with the home of the Ducks earning 90 points in the voting.
Despite its modest 54,000-seat capacity, Autzen Stadium is known for being one of the loudest stadiums in college football, with a passionate fan base that creates an electric atmosphere. Over the past 10 years, the Ducks have achieved great success at home, tying for the 10th-best record in college football.
The top 25 list is dominated by Big Ten and SEC stadiums, with nine stadiums from each conference making the cut. Autzen Stadium is the only Pac-12 stadium to make the list. The Ducks will travel to three of the top-25 stadiums this upcoming season: UCLA, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Meanwhile, Autzen Stadium will host seven teams, including Michigan State, Ohio State, and Washington.
Despite not cracking the top 10 in the rankings, Autzen Stadium’s unique atmosphere and passionate fan base continue to make it a formidable environment for opponents. As the Ducks look ahead to the upcoming season, they will undoubtedly rely on their home field advantage to continue their success on the gridiron.
