Community receives sustainable storytelling funding from Oregon Coast Visitors Association

The Oregon Coast Visitors Association (OCVA) is supporting sustainable tourism initiatives with their annual Strategic Investment Fund (SIF). This year, the focus is on Sustainable Storytelling on the Oregon Coast, aligning with the growing consumer demand for sustainable travel options. Six recipients, including Overleaf Lodge and Spa, Fireside Motel, South Coast Tours, Shifting Tides, WildSpring Guest Habitat, Itty Bitty Inn, and Local Ocean, received funding to highlight their sustainability initiatives through various marketing content such as videos, blogs, and social media posts.

The 2024 SIF will focus on increasing accessibility on the Oregon Coast through the Mobi-mat program implementations. Organizations interested in purchasing a mat can explore the comprehensive Mobi-mat Toolkit to acquire, sustain, and effectively integrate a Mobi-mat within their community.

OCVA, the official Regional Destination Management Organization for the Oregon Coast, aims to inspire travel and strengthen collaboration to create a sustainable coastal economy. They encourage interested parties to contact them for more information at 503-812-2927.

The recipients of the 2023 SIF are working diligently to showcase their sustainability efforts to attract conscious travelers and contribute to the long-term resiliency and success of coastal tourism. The projects funded by OCVA are expected to have a positive impact on the future of sustainable tourism on the Oregon Coast.
