Israel escalates airstrikes in Gaza resulting in extensive damage to bodies | Latest on Israel-Palestine conflict


The Israeli military has intensified its attacks on Gaza, resulting in dozens of deaths, including local journalist Muhammad Abu Jasser and his family. The Palestinian death toll in the besieged territory has reached nearly 39,000, with continuous bombardment hitting various parts of Gaza.

The Palestinian Civil Defence reported multiple deaths in separate Israeli attacks on refugee camps and residential areas. Israel also bombed a commercial building housing displaced people, leading to more casualties. The death toll continues to rise as the conflict escalates.

The Government Media Office in Gaza revealed that 161 Palestinian journalists have been killed since the start of the war. The Ministry of Health reported 37 additional deaths within 24 hours, bringing the total number of Palestinian casualties to 38,919. The ongoing blockade by Israel has worsened the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with health advocates warning of disease outbreaks.

The Ministry of Interior in Gaza warned against Israeli manipulation of citizens, urging people to stay in their homes amidst the escalating violence. Hamas accused Israel of increasing attacks in response to the International Court of Justice ruling on the illegality of the Israeli occupation.

Hamas called on the United Nations to intervene and stop the Israeli “crimes and terrorism”. They emphasized that Israel’s actions will not cease without consequences. Hamas’s military wing, along with other armed groups, claimed attacks on Israeli forces, indicating a continuation of the conflict.

As talks for a ceasefire deal continue, the situation in Gaza remains dire, with mounting casualties and destruction. The international community is called upon to intervene and stop the violence in the region.
