Oregon Coast Visitors Association Supports Sustainable Storytelling with Funding

The Oregon Coast Visitors Association (OCVA) recently announced the recipients of their annual Strategic Investment Fund (SIF) for 2023, focusing on Sustainable Storytelling on the Oregon Coast. The fund supports projects that promote sustainability and highlight coastal businesses prioritizing sustainability through marketing content.

Recipients of the fund included businesses like Overleaf Lodge and Spa, Fireside Motel, South Coast Tours, Shifting Tides, WildSpring Guest Habitat, Itty Bitty Inn, and Local Ocean, who all received funding to create marketing materials showcasing their sustainability initiatives.

Looking ahead to 2024, OCVA plans to support accessibility on the Oregon Coast through the Mobi-mat program implementations. This initiative aims to increase accessibility for individuals with disabilities to enjoy the coastal environment.

OCVA is the official Regional Destination Management Organization for the entire Oregon Coast, inspiring travel and strengthening collaboration to create and steward a sustainable coastal economy. Organizations interested in applying for the 2024 SIF funds can explore the Mobi-mat Toolkit for guidance on acquiring, sustaining, and effectively integrating a Mobi-mat within the community.

Overall, the projects supported by the OCVA SIF are aimed at promoting sustainable practices among coastal businesses and increasing accessibility for all visitors to enjoy the beauty of the Oregon Coast. These initiatives are part of OCVA’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainable tourism and strengthen the coastal economy.
