Active Lifestyle Events, a non-profit organization based in Joplin, Mo, will be making a donation to Bright Futures Joplin on July 31st. The donation, which was funded by proceeds from past Joplin Memorial Runs, will support the organization’s Snack Packs Program, which provides food to food-insecure students in the community.
Bright Futures Joplin, founded in 2010, works to connect students in need with community resources and support to help them achieve their full potential. The donation from Active Lifestyle Events will help ensure that students at early-childhood, elementary, and middle school levels have access to nutritious food through the Snack Packs Program.
In addition to supporting Bright Futures Joplin, Active Lifestyle Events has also donated over $300,000 to various organizations in the community, including The United Way of SWMO, Rebuild Joplin, the Bill and Virginia Leffen Center for Autism, Ronald McDonald House, and many others.
The check presentation will take place at the Joplin Schools Memorial Education Center and representatives from both Active Lifestyle Events and Bright Futures Joplin will be in attendance. This donation is just one of the many ways that Active Lifestyle Events is committed to promoting health and fitness in the community.
