A judge ruled against Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s attempt to appear on New York’s general election ballot this fall. New York Supreme Court Justice Christina Ryba invalidated Kennedy’s nominating petition and directed the Board of Elections not to place his name on the ballot. The ruling came after a Democratic-aligned group sued Kennedy over the New York address he claimed as his residence on petition forms, despite currently living in California with his wife, actor Cheryl Hines. Kennedy testified that they had always planned to move back to New York. The Kennedy campaign did not immediately respond to the ruling. This is a developing story and updates may follow.
