A home in North Carolina collapsed into the ocean waves, while coastal areas from Newport to Morehead City were warned of life-threatening rip currents. NOAA buoys measured wave heights of 5 to 6 feet along the coast, with forecasts of life-threatening surf and rip currents from Bermuda to Canada. Ten million people were under coastal flood advisories as the storm continued to pose dangers for the next few days.
