The Ukrainian air force has attacked another bridge in Russia’s Kursk region, this time targeting one over the Seym river in Zvannoe. This comes after another key bridge was destroyed earlier in the week by Ukrainian strikes. The destruction of infrastructure in the area is believed to be an attempt to hamper Russian supply lines and reinforcements. The air force commander, Lt General Mykola Oleshchuk, stated that these accurate airstrikes are significantly affecting the course of hostilities. Meanwhile, Belarus has deployed troops along its entire border with Ukraine in response to the more than 120,000 Ukrainian troops stationed at the border. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko warned that the border is heavily mined and Ukrainian troops would suffer significant losses if they attempted to cross. North Korea condemned Ukraine’s actions as an act of terror backed by the US and the West, expressing support for Russia in protecting its sovereignty. Kyiv has also reported repelling a Russian missile attack on the capital, while drones were spotted heading towards the city. The safety situation at Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant has deteriorated after a nearby drone strike, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy reports that Ukrainian forces are strengthening their positions in the Kursk region. Additionally, Ukrainian drones attacked an oil storage facility in Russia’s Rostov region, causing a large fuel fire. The situation continues to escalate as both sides engage in military actions.
