The Fair Labor Standards Act, established in 1938, introduced the 40-hour workweek, overtime pay standards, and a minimum wage. Trump’s pledge to make overtime tax-free was made at his first rally following the vice presidential debate, which drew a larger audience than the rally in Arizona.
