Donald Trump Announces He Won’t Seek Presidency Again in 2028 If Defeated in November

In a recent interview on the Full Measure television show with Sharyl Attkisson, former President Donald Trump expressed that he does not see himself running for president again in 2028 if he loses the current race for the White House. Trump acknowledged the challenges of the upcoming election, with Vice President Kamala Harris leading him in most head-to-head polls. However, he remains hopeful for success.

During the interview, Trump also discussed potential roles in his administration for figures like tech billionaire Elon Musk, former Democratic congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, and ex-independent presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr. He mentioned that Kennedy could focus on health and the environment, while Gabbard, who has expressed willingness to serve in a second Trump administration, may be suited for foreign policy work.

Both Gabbard and Kennedy have been appointed to Trump’s transition team, which would assist him in choosing policies and personnel if he were to be re-elected in November. Trump praised Musk’s ability to cut costs in the federal government, highlighting his potential contribution to a government efficiency commission.

Overall, Trump remains focused on the current election, emphasizing the importance of success in November. Despite not planning to run for president again in 2028, he continues to strategically consider potential roles for key figures in his administration if he were to secure another term in office.
