The Central Oregon Community College (COCC) is set to create a Promise Garden of pinwheels as part of the upcoming Central Oregon Walk to End Alzheimer’s event. This initiative aims to raise awareness and support for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
The Promise Garden will serve as a symbolic representation of the hope and solidarity within the community to fight against Alzheimer’s. Participants in the walk will have the opportunity to plant their own pinwheel in the garden, signifying their commitment to the cause.
This year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s event is particularly special as it marks the return to in-person gatherings after a virtual event last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The community is encouraged to come together and show their support for those battling Alzheimer’s and their families.
COCC is proud to be a part of this important event and is dedicated to making a positive impact in the fight against Alzheimer’s. The college recognizes the significance of raising awareness and funds to support research and programs that benefit those affected by the disease.
The Central Oregon Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place on [date TBD]. Participants can look forward to a meaningful and impactful experience as they come together to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s and work towards finding a cure.
