Three siblings who went missing at the beginning of October were found safe after nearly a month, the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) reported. The siblings, 5-year-old Dolce Ayala Barboza, 5-year-old Jailyne Ayala Barboza, and 8-year-old Jose Armani Ayala Barboza, had disappeared from Bend and were believed to be travelling towards Southern California or Mexico with their mother.
On October 27, ODHS announced that the Barboza siblings had been located and were safe. In cases where a child goes missing, there is often a concern for their safety, and ODHS works diligently to locate them and assess their well-being. Media alerts may be issued to help in the search for missing children, and in some cases, a child may go missing more than once, resulting in multiple alerts being issued.
The public is encouraged to report any suspicions of child abuse by calling the toll-free Oregon Child Abuse Hotline at 1-855-503-SAFE (7233). This hotline allows individuals to report abuse of children or adults to ODHS 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year. By reporting any concerns promptly, individuals can help ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals in the community.
