The launch of the 2024 season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! has attracted millions of viewers, with a peak of eight million tuning in to watch the first episode on ITV. The star-studded cast includes N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos, actor Alan Halsall, and Coleen Rooney, who is reportedly the highest-paid celebrity in the show’s history.
Fans have already singled out BBC Radio 1 presenter Dean McCullough as an early favorite for his “hilarious” joke about Rooney’s “Wagatha Christie” trial. The first episode saw the contestants take part in a series of challenges, with Contostavlos and Halsall emerging victorious.
In addition to the celebrity lineup, surprise appearances were made by comedian Peter Kay and other British TV personalities during the show’s debut episode, adding to the entertainment value for viewers.
While the show has received mixed reviews, with some fans complaining about changes to the format, others have praised the casting choices and the engaging challenges faced by the contestants.
New episodes of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! air on ITV1 and ITVX every night at 9pm, giving viewers the opportunity to follow the adventures of the celebrity contestants as they compete in the jungle-themed reality show.
