Shake Shack cheeseburgers now being offered on Delta flights departing from Boston

Delta Air Lines has announced a new partnership with Shake Shack to offer cheeseburgers on select flights departing from Boston starting in December. However, only first-class passengers on routes over 900 miles will be able to pre-select the Shake Shack cheeseburger as their meal option. Passengers can make and edit their selection up to 24 hours in advance using the Fly Delta app or a link in their email, starting seven days before departure.

In addition to the cheeseburger, passengers will also be served a Caesar salad, chips, and a dark chocolate brownie. Stephanie Laster, Delta’s Managing Director of Onboard Service, highlighted the popularity of burgers as a comfort food among customers, making this partnership with Shake Shack a welcomed addition to the menu.

Michael Kark, President of Global Licensing at Shake Shack, expressed excitement about the partnership and the opportunity to bring their cheeseburger to new heights, even at 35,000 feet in the air. Delta plans to expand this offering to other U.S. markets by 2025, but it is unclear whether this will include main cabin customers. The airline aims to enhance the in-flight dining and hospitality experience for travelers across the country through this partnership.
