Oregon Ducks Prepare for Rivalry Matchup Against Oregon State with Ra’Heim Moss Returning
The Oregon Ducks men’s basketball team is set to welcome back Ra’Heim Moss for their highly anticipated rivalry game against the Oregon State Beavers on Thursday evening in Corvallis. College basketball insider Jon Rothstein reported that Moss, who was sidelined during the Ducks’ convincing 82-61 victory over Troy due to a knee injury, will be in the lineup against the unbeaten Beavers (4-0).
Head coach Dana Altman expressed optimism about Moss’s readiness, noting that he participated in practice prior to the game. Altman remarked, "I don’t know for sure, but we’ll see how he plays tomorrow, but I anticipate that he’d be ready to play." Although Moss has yet to make a significant scoring impact this season—averaging just 3.7 points and 4.0 rebounds in his first three games—his contributions in other areas have been notable, including crucial defensive plays and rebounding.
Previously a standout performer at Toledo with a career-high average of 15.5 points last season, Moss has the potential to have breakout scoring games. He played a key role in an 80-70 overtime win against Portland earlier this month, emphasizing his ability to impact games beyond the scoreboard.
Moss joined Oregon as part of a four-man transfer class and was a highly sought-after four-star recruit before his commitment on April 29, joining fellow transfers Brandon Angel, Supreme Cook, and TJ Bamba. As the Ducks aim to secure a victory on the road, they’re also gearing up for the upcoming Players Era Festival Tournament in Las Vegas, where they will face off against Texas A&M and San Diego State next week.
