Eagle Point School District Employee Arrested for Alleged Sexual Abuse
Eagle Point, Ore. (KATU) — In a disturbing development, Amanda Rose Leonardo, a 38-year-old employee of the Eagle Point School District, was arrested on allegations of sexual abuse involving teenagers. Leonardo, who goes by the nickname "Pody," surrendered to authorities at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office on November 21, 2023.
The charges against her include three counts of third-degree sexual abuse, luring a minor, tampering with physical evidence, and providing alcohol to a person under 21. Notably, school district officials clarified that these allegations are not related to her employment at the school.
The investigation, led by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit, has identified several high school-aged victims in the case.
