FBI agent Eduardo Valdivia, who was acquitted of attempted murder in 2020, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual assault in Maryland. Two women accused him of rape inside his tattoo studio, where he lured victims through an Instagram page. Valdivia allegedly sexually assaulted the women after offering them modeling contracts in exchange for free tattoos. Police believe there may be additional victims who have not come forward due to signed contracts with Valdivia. The FBI has suspended Valdivia pending the investigation, and his attorney has not commented on the charges. Valdivia claimed self-defense in the 2020 shooting of a man on a Metro train, but was found not guilty. Prosecutors presented video evidence showing the interaction between Valdivia and the man escalating before the shooting. Valdivia shot the man from close range, causing serious injuries that required surgery. The FBI stated they are cooperating with the Montgomery County Police Department in the investigation and are taking the allegations seriously. Valdivia is currently being held without bond at the Montgomery County Detention Center.
