Senate President Rob Wagner has named Kayse Jama as the new Senate Majority Leader, replacing Kathleen Taylor. Lesly MunĚoz declared victory in the House District 22 race against Rep. Tracy Cramer, giving Democrats a supermajority in the state House. President Donald Trump will nominate Lori Chavez-DeRemer for Labor secretary.
Portland General Electric hired Jamie Painter as natural resources and federal affairs manager. Former CEO of Oregon Public Broadcasting, Steve Bass, joined the Oregon Parks Forever advisory board. Jeston Black is now the deputy chief operating officer after serving as Multnomah County’s director of government relations.
Montana Lewellen opened Capitol Strategies in Salem after working for Legislative Advocates Government Affairs. Alethia Miller is Alaska Airlines’ state and local government affairs manager.
