Los Angeles-based Sunset Tennis Club is expanding its presence with the opening of a new location in Tarzana. The club, founded by Anna and Kacper Owsian, has experienced rapid growth, with a 300% increase in revenue from 2022 to 2023 and a 200% increase from 2023 to 2024. Starting with just 30 members and one clinic location, Sunset Tennis Club now boasts 1000 players, 25 weekly clinics, and seven locations.
Inspired by the retro tennis culture of the 1970s and 1980s, Sunset Tennis Club aims to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere for players of all levels. Members can book private lessons, participate in group clinics, and enjoy special rates on lessons. Additionally, they have access to guest passes, VIP events, and lifestyle partner benefits.
The club is also expanding its social events, partnering with brands such as Sporty & Rich, Oliver Peoples, Fila, and Malbon Golf. Sunset Tennis Club is hosting events at the upcoming BNP Paribas Open Indian Wells tournament, as part of its plan to expand into new markets. The club will be adding events in Palm Springs and will be making its way to the East Coast and international locations in the future.
Anna Owsian stated that the club is planning to offer the Sunset Tennis Club experience to community members in areas outside of Los Angeles, including the Hamptons on the East Coast. The club also has plans to align with the ATP Masters Tour for international pop-ups in locations such as London and France. The growth and expansion of Sunset Tennis Club represent a new era for the club as it continues to bring its community-driven tennis-social experience to new markets.
