Junior quarterback Jack Wright and senior linebacker Easton Kemper were honored by Class 3A coaches for their outstanding performances during the 2024 season. Wright, who threw for over 2,500 yards and 28 touchdowns, was named Offensive Player of the Year, while Kemper, who made 32 tackles during the playoffs, was named Defensive Player of the Year. Burns’ coach Matt Bruck was also recognized as Coach of the Year.
Other top Class 3A honors included Luke Bigsby of Banks as Offensive Lineman of the Year, Jake DeVos of Vale as Defensive Lineman of the Year, Jarrett Martin of Banks as Returner of the Year, and Carson Smith of North Valley as Kicker of the Year. The first team included standout players such as Kase Schaffeld of Vale, Jeremy Ness of Santiam Christian, and Bryson Walker of Cascade Christian.
On the defensive side, players like Joe Weil of Burns, Max Walker of Banks, and Coltin Miller of Burns were recognized for their exceptional performances. The second team featured Lane Gilbert of Banks, Max Reynolds of Siuslaw, and Clayton DeWitt of Cottage Grove.
