19-Year-Old Stabbed in Domestic Dispute at Bend Apartment Complex
Bend, OR – In a shocking incident early Saturday morning, a 19-year-old man was severely injured in a stabbing at the Escena Apartments on Empire Avenue. Police were alerted just after 1:00 a.m. to a disturbance, prompting officers to respond promptly to the scene.
Upon arrival, officers encountered 20-year-old Ty Joseph Blischke in the parking lot, who is identified as the roommate of the stabbing victim. Inside the apartment, officers discovered the victim suffering from a stab wound to his left ribs. The injured man informed the responding officers that Blischke had attacked him during an altercation.
A third roommate was at the apartment during the incident but did not witness the stabbing firsthand, having only heard the commotion from another room. Emergency medical personnel quickly transported the victim to St. Charles Bend, where he is being treated for serious injuries.
Blischke was detained at the scene and subsequently taken to the Bend Police Department for questioning. He has since been booked into the Deschutes County Jail, facing charges of first-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
