Eugene, OR – The No. 14 Oregon softball team showcased its offensive prowess on Friday, sweeping a doubleheader against San Diego and Portland State at Jane Sanders Stadium. Rylee McCoy was the standout player of the day, contributing five hits and three RBIs across both games.

In the first game against San Diego, Oregon secured a 9-5 victory, with McCoy going 2 for 4, including a crucial two-run single that kickstarted a three-run first inning for the Ducks. San Diego fought back in the fifth, scoring five runs off an RBI double, a passed ball, two RBI singles, and a wild pitch, but Oregon answered with a decisive five-run bottom frame to regain control. Pitcher Lyndsey Grein (10-0) relieved the situation, allowing two runs—one earned—over 2.2 innings while striking out five.

Against Portland State, the Ducks continued their winning streak, claiming a 9-1 win in just six innings. McCoy’s impressive performance continued as she recorded three hits, including a home run, to help Oregon establish a 4-0 lead in the early innings. Dezi Patmon and Kedre Luschar also made significant contributions, with Patmon hitting a solo homer and Luschar delivering a two-run double. The game concluded with Katie Flanney’s RBI single invoking the run rule.
