The bodies of Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin were discovered on November 13, 2022. Bryan Kohberger, a doctoral student of criminal justice at Washington State University, is accused of the murders and burglary. He has pleaded not guilty, and a trial date has been set for August 11. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty in this case. Kohberger was arrested in Pennsylvania over six weeks after the killings and is currently held without bond in Idaho.
