Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, May 7, 2025 – GLOBE NEWSWIRE – 1Matrix, a collaborative venture involving Techcombank, One Mount Group, Masterise Group, and Techcom Securities, officially launched its groundbreaking "Make in Vietnam" blockchain network on May 6. The event, attended by government officials, tech leaders, and stakeholders, showcased 1Matrix’s commitment to pioneering blockchain technology tailored for Vietnam.

Chairman Phan Duc Trung heralded the initiative with a keynote speech, emphasizing the project’s aim to empower Vietnam to master blockchain technology, thereby enhancing the nation’s digital economy and national sovereignty over data. The new Layer-1 blockchain will focus on building core technologies, from consensus algorithms to user experience, ensuring full compliance with international standards.

“By controlling our own blockchain technology, Vietnam can proactively use it in economic, societal, and developmental realms, thus strengthening our global standing,” affirmed Trung. He also highlighted strategic partnerships with the Vietnam Blockchain Association and Boston Consulting Group (BCG), aimed at fostering technological innovation and transformation.

Moreover, Lieutenant General Dang Vu Son, former Head of the Government Cipher Committee, noted that innovative enterprises like 1Matrix are crucial for positioning Vietnam on the global digital technology map.

As part of the event, the “VietChain Talents 2025” competition was unveiled, offering a total prize of USD 135,000. This initiative aims to nurture a robust talent pool in Vietnam’s blockchain sector.

The launch of 1Matrix marks a significant milestone in Vietnam’s tech landscape, positioning the nation for promising advancement in the realm of blockchain technology.
