Scottsboro Public Library Announces Upcoming Book Discussions
Scottsboro, AL – The Scottsboro Public Library is excited to host a series of engaging book discussions throughout May, inviting community members to dive into diverse literary works.
The activities begin on Tuesday, May 13, at 10 a.m. with the Cover 2 Cover Book Club discussing “With My Little Eye” by bestselling author Joshilyn Jackson. The gripping suspense novel follows a mother who relocates with her daughter to escape an unidentified stalker, leading to a relentless search for answers amidst paranoia. Jackson, recognized for her focus on women’s issues, has received numerous accolades, including the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance (SIBA) Novel of the Year.
On Thursday, May 15, at 5 p.m., the Scottsboro Book Club will gather to share personal reading experiences and recommendations, fostering vibrant book discussions among local readers. Later in the month, on Thursday, May 29, at 5 p.m., participants will explore “The Cherry Cola Book Club” by Ashton Lee. This heartwarming tale centers on a librarian struggling to boost circulation numbers, prompting the formation of a book club that combines literary analysis with community potlucks.
Additionally, on Tuesday, May 27, at 5:30 p.m., the Other Worlds Book Club will delve into “A Gathering of Shadows” by V.E. Schwab. This title is part of the acclaimed Shades of Magic Universe, capturing readers with its enchanting fantasy elements.
