New Roundabout Construction to Commence in West Bend
BEND, Ore. – A new roundabout at the intersection of Skyline Ranch Road and Skyliners Road is scheduled to begin construction on June 16, lasting until mid-August. This project, being developed by the Discovery West neighborhood’s developer, will necessitate a complete closure of the intersection for the duration of the construction.
Residents and commuters are advised that traffic on Skyliners Road will be redirected via Mt. Washington Drive to NW Crossing Drive back to Skyliners Road. For those traveling north on Skyline Ranch Road from Tetherow, detours will direct them to Metolius Road to reach Mt. Washington Drive before rejoining the detour routes.
This roundabout follows the ongoing construction of another roundabout in northeast Bend, located at Deschutes Market Road and Yeoman Road, adjacent to Pine Nursery Park. That project is expected to open to traffic in August.
