Kid Cudi Testifies on Car Fire and ‘Marvel Supervillain’ Encounter During Diddy’s Trial

In the ongoing trial surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs, Grammy-winning rapper Kid Cudi (Scott Mescudi) took the witness stand, recounting incidents that paint a disturbing picture of Diddy’s alleged violent behavior. Cudi, who had a brief relationship with Diddy’s girlfriend, Cassie, testified that in 2011, Diddy broke into his Hollywood Hills home. He also recounted how his Porsche caught fire in 2012, an incident reportedly linked to a Molotov cocktail thrown inside—reflecting Diddy’s past jealousy. After the fire, Cudi described an unsettling encounter with Diddy, who appeared oblivious to the chaos.

Additionally, George Kaplan, Diddy’s former assistant, testified about a violent confrontation aboard a private jet in 2015, where he saw Diddy standing over Cassie in an altercation involving a whiskey glass. Mylah Morales, Cassie’s makeup artist, corroborated claims of Cassie’s injuries following an incident after a Prince-hosted party, revealing a swollen eye and busted lip.

Frederic Zemmour from L’Ermitage Beverly Hills hotel testified about the extensive cleaning needed after Diddy’s stays, hinting at a tumultuous lifestyle. The courtroom witnessed a heated moment when Prosecutor Maurene Comey objected to inappropriate lines of questioning by Diddy’s defense.

The prosecution hinges on claims of racketeering, focusing on acts like the arson of Cudi’s car as evidence of Diddy’s involvement in organized crime. Notably, to convict Diddy, the prosecution needs only to prove his agreement with others in committing any predicate racketeering crimes, rather than his direct involvement in specific acts of violence.

The trial will pause for Memorial Day, resuming later with further testimonies.
