TCL CSOT Unveils Groundbreaking Display Innovations at SID Display Week 2025

TCL CSOT, a leader in premium consumer electronics, showcased its latest technological advancements at the 2025 SID Display Week, where it set a new benchmark for the display industry. The company presented its innovative offerings in LCD, OLED, and MLED technologies, including an industry-first inkjet printing OLED (IJP OLED) lineup that spans across various devices, including smartphones, tablets, and TVs.

Dr. Weiran Cao, head of TCL CSOT’s Display Technology Innovation Center, emphasizes the company’s commitment to balancing novel research with practical applications. "Innovation must meet real-world manufacturing, cost models, and user expectations," he stated, highlighting an integrated development approach that compresses timelines without sacrificing quality.

Among the standout products displayed were a 98-inch LCD TV with a proprietary Mini-LED backlight, a 12.1-inch natural-spectrum pad display, and a 14-inch OLED notebook featuring a 98% screen-to-body ratio enabled by Camera Under Panel (CUP) technology. Dr. Cao indicated that the advent of IJP OLED displays will redefine our interaction with screens, making them thinner, more flexible, and sustainable, akin to the ubiquity of printed newspapers.

TCL CSOT also showcased advanced MLED innovations ranging from a 0.05-inch micro LED display to a massive 219-inch screen, demonstrating their versatility for various applications, including automotive displays with over 45,000 nits brightness.

As the company leads the way in making printed displays commonplace, the future appears bright with promises of enhanced integration and smarter surfaces in daily life. TCL CSOT’s participation stands as a powerful precursor to transformative changes in the display industry, evidenced by its pioneering spirit and resolve for sustainable advancement.
