Rasean Jones Commits to Boise State, Aiming for Athletic Greatness
Baker, Oregon – Rasean Jones, one of Oregon’s premier two-sport athletes, has officially announced his commitment to Boise State University, sharing the news on social media Tuesday morning. Jones, a versatile 6-foot-1, 195-pound wide receiver, excels in both football and track and field, earning a three-star recruit status, ranking him as the No. 6 recruit in Oregon’s class of 2026 according to 247Sports.
Moving to Rocky Mountain High School in Meridian, Idaho for his senior year, Jones is poised to become one of the top recruits in Idaho as well. Despite battling injuries during the past season, which saw his Baker Bulldogs end with a 1-8 record, Jones’ talent has not gone unnoticed. He previously garnered second-team all-state honors in Class 4A football and had multiple offers, including from Idaho, Oregon State, and Washington State.
Boise State, fresh off a successful 2024 season that included a 12-2 record and a Mountain West Conference championship, appears to be a fitting destination for Jones. The Broncos concluded their season on December 31 with a playoff game against Penn State.
Jones is also highly regarded for his track prowess, having secured three Class 4A state championships in both the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles. With personal records that rank him among the top all-time performers in Oregon, he is looking to focus solely on football at Boise State, as confirmed by his father, Jebron.
