India Inc Leaders Champion Yoga as a Lifestyle on International Yoga Day
New Delhi, Jun 21 (PTI) – On International Day of Yoga, leaders from India Inc. emphasized the importance of making yoga an integral part of daily life, recognizing it as a "precious gift from India." Various yoga sessions were conducted nationwide, highlighting themes of discipline, resilience, and self-discovery.
Apollo Hospitals Group Joint Managing Director Sangita Reddy shared her personal journey on social media, revealing how decades of yoga practice have led her to profound insights, particularly about the connection between breath and emotions. She expressed, “Learn to control your breath, and you’ll find you can navigate your emotional world,” underscoring yoga’s transformative power.
Jindal Steel and Power Chairman Naveen Jindal echoed these sentiments, calling yoga not only a practice but a comprehensive way of living. Participating in an event alongside yoga guru Ramdev and dignitaries in Kurukshetra, Jindal promoted the values of spiritual peace and health, appealing for a collective embrace of yoga.
The celebration of the 11th International Day of Yoga saw participation from various government officials and organizations. Notably, the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd (IREDA) participated at Sunder Nursery in New Delhi, while Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL) coordinated large-scale celebrations in Jharkhand, aligning with this year’s theme, "Yoga for One Earth, One Health." Over 1,500 individuals joined a collective yoga session in Piparwar, reflecting a community spirit.
Minister Manohar Lal led a special yoga session at Jantar Mantar, emphasizing the harmony of India’s cultural heritage with wellness practices. As leaders unite in promoting yoga, the message remains clear: integrating yoga into daily routines can significantly enhance emotional well-being and overall health.
