Oregon’s May 20 election has prompted automatic recounts in 25 closely contested races. State Secretary of State Tobias Read highlighted that while recounts may adjust vote counts slightly—by one or two votes—they are unlikely to alter the overall results. Counties including Baker, Clatsop, and Deschutes are among those experiencing recounts due to tight election results. In Lane County, officials confirmed that four races, including a school board contest, remain unchanged post-recount.
