PORTLAND, Ore. — The deadline for Oregon’s special election is fast approaching on May 20, featuring critical races for school district boards, rural fire district boards, and various local ballot measures.
Eligible voters should have received their ballots by May 8. To ensure your vote counts, mail-in ballots must be postmarked by May 20, and those opting for drop-off must do so by 8 p.m. on Election Day. Voters can find a convenient drop box using the Oregon Secretary of State’s online locator tool, with 32 official drop-off sites listed in Multnomah County.
Election results will be certified on June 16, giving voters ample time to engage in this pivotal decision-making process.
For those who require assistance, the Voting Center Express at Multnomah County’s East Building on Northeast 8th Street is available to help with ballot completion, registration, and language support. Voters can also obtain replacement ballots at this location. Additionally, the Multnomah County Duniway-Lovejoy Elections Building is open for further assistance.
The county has provided an extensive list of official ballot drop sites, ranging from community centers and libraries to local parks and commercial areas. Notable locations include James John Elementary School, Hollywood Library, and McDonald’s on César E Chávez Blvd.
